20th Annual Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade

On behalf of the Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade Committee, it is with great joy to announce the date for this year's annual parade.

The 20th Annual Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade will be held on Monroe Street in Historic Greektown Detroit on, Sunday, April 10th, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.

If you need a healthy dose of all things Greek, please make sure you save this date on your calendar!

We are honored and humbled to have His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, the Consular General of Greece in Chicago, Emmanuel Koubarakis, and this year's Grand Marshall, Dimitris S. Papageorgiou with us during our Hellenic weekend here in Detroit.

Finally, we would like to thank all of our 2022 Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade Sponsors - we could not have done this without their continuous support. If you missed the opportunity to sponsor the parade, have your business ad in our colorful and unique parade book, please contact us at your earliest convenience to sponsor next year's 2023 parade. We need the support and help from the Greek community to make each year's Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade very special!

Organizations, churches or clubs are encouraged to build a float pulled by a vehicle and/or if you would like to help volunteer your time over the weekend, please feel free to notify the committee at: [email protected] - this is a great opportunity for Honor Society students to earn volunteer hours.
